Saya Oota (太田 早夜?) is a supporting character in Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge. She is Oota's younger sister and Rino's best friend.
Appearance[]
Saya has dark brown eyes and dark blonde hair, slightly lighter than her brother's. Her bangs are swept to the left and obscure her left eye. She is normally seen wearing her school uniform.
Personality[]
In Saya's first meeting with Tanaka, she is shown to be shy and reserved. She speaks very quietly around people she doesn't know. She is a bit of a romantic, as she strongly supports Rino's relationship with Sora and becomes disappointed when Rino tells her that there have been no romantic developments between them.
Etymology[]
- The name Saya means "early" (早) (sa) and "night" (夜) (ya).
- Saya's surname Oota (太田) means "big" and "rice paddy", altogether meaning “big rice paddy”.
